Africa 2016 Part 2 of 2

We were so blessed to take a 3 day safari into the Serengeti and down into the Ngorongoro Crater while we were in Africa. We saw every type of animal that we wanted to see! Lions, elephants, cheetahs, a leopard, the black rhino, zebras, the great migration of wildebeests, tons of gazelle, flamingos, giraffes, and ostrich.

Monkeys on the side of the road before we even left town.

Ngorongoro Crater: Created by a volcano, super cold & windy

Entering the Serengeti ("The endless plain")

I loved these acacia trees!

These beautiful birds were everywhere!

Can you find the cub?

The coolest thing we got to see was a mama cheetah super close with her 4 cubs.

60+ hippos in this one pond.

The lions were too close for my comfort.

The rest of the amazing photos were shot by Grace Mahaffey....

The Great Migration

FYI...baby cheetah cubs chirp like birds. Did not know.
