Reese - 5 Months

Dear Reese,

Today you are 5 months old. You are such a beautiful little girl! Everyone is still debating whether your hair will stay dark and whether your eyes will stay blue. I still think you will keep your dark hair and I'm not sure yet about your eyes.

You are a very active little baby. You don't like to stay in one place for very long. You like to sit in your Bumbo and watch me do my makeup. You like to lay in your bouncer. You like to lay on a blanket on the rug. You like to jump in your doorway jumper and most of all, you love to be held.

You have not extended your night time sleeping at all which is making me a little weary. You sleep from 10:30 - 5:00 each night and then from 5:30 - 8:00. I keep reminding myself that this is only a short phase in life. I love cuddling with you as you fall asleep.

When you start to get upset, you love to spit. It is so cute and makes me laugh every time.

Your big brother could not resist being in the pictures with you. He has gotten really good at putting your pacifier back in your mouth gently. He loves to make you smile.

You've been rolling over from stomach to back for several months but you are so close to rolling from back to stomach. You are also close to being able to sit up by yourself. I bet you will by next month.

You love to put everything in your mouth. (See dress below) I'm going to have to be extra careful about what you can get your hands on. You love to chew on your fist most of all.

Reese you are such a doll and we can't wait to see what your personality will be like. We are praying for you and we love you so much.

Thanksgiving/Parade of Lights

This year we went to Uncle Barry and Aunt Laurie's new home in Granbury. They just finished building it and it is absolutely beautiful. The only sad part was G-Daddy, Andrea, and Kendall couldn't be there. My grandfather is very sick and my dad wanted to be with him on Thanksgiving day.

Cousin Bailey & Reese
There was a line that formed to hold Reese. She did a lot of sleeping and cuddling. I feel so blessed to have a family that loves my children so much. Kristen held Will a ton too because he was afraid of my cousin's dogs.

The day after Thanksgiving, we put up our new, first ever pre-lit Christmas tree (!!!!) and all of our Christmas decorations. Will loved decorating the tree and turning the lights on and off.

Then later that night we went to the Parade of Lights in downtown Fort Worth. It was our first time to go and Will just soaked it all in. He sat in G.G.'s lap for awhile and then moved to John Clinton's lap. He loved all of the floats and especially loved Santa's appearance at the very end.

Reese - 4 Months

Dear Reese,

You are 4 months old. According to your doctor you are in the 91% for height and head circumference and 83% for weight. However, you have the tiniest feet I have ever seen! You are still wearing newborn size shoes. I asked the doctor about it and he wasn't concerned. He said your feet weren't deformed, so that's good I guess. :)

You are still a happy, easy going baby. You sleep from 10:30PM - 5:00 AM, wake up and eat and then sleep from 5:30 AM - 8:00 AM. Even though I'm up at 5, it makes me so happy to see your sweet, sleepy smile as I rock you back to sleep.

This last Sunday was Baby Blessing day at church. Kaitlyn Horne and you were the only babies this time. I feel so blessed to have a church family that loves us so much.

You received a little pink Bible with your name on it.

Will still adores you and needed to take some pictures with you. You are so patient with him! I still can't believe it. You smile so much when he is around.

He is reading the Bible to you.

And singing the B.I.B.L.E.

This month you started laughing. Daddy can make you laugh so hard. I love it!

Everything goes into your mouth.

Sometimes you have crazy eyes when you get really excited.

Reese, we love you so much. I pray constantly that God will give me wisdom when it comes to raising you. I want so badly to be a good mommy to you. You bring us tons of joy.

Picnic

We celebrated October birthdays last Sunday with a picnic at the park.
