Only 4 more weeks until the due date of our first baby! I am so excited and can't wait for baby Will to get here. We are trying to savor the last few days of being a baby-less couple (is that a word?) by going on a date tomorrow night. Matthew just finished reading Water for Elephants and loved it, so we are going to see it. I'm just excited to see Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon. (Yes, I am an adult and love Twilight.) From the trailers, it looks like it going to be a gorgeous movie. I love going to the movies and know that it will be harder to do so once we have the baby, even though we have already had tons of offers for babysitters. Here is a picture of my friend, Bekah, and me at church last night. Her due date is one day before mine. There is also another woman at church who is due just a few days after us. Can you believe in a church of 500 people that there are 3 babies due in the same week?! There are also 2 babies due about a month after us. The nursery is going to be so full in a few weeks!
This past weekend I spent a lot of time completing the art projects I had planned for Will's nursery. The first thing I made were two giraffe paintings. I got my inspiration from a giraffe print that I found on Etsy. I still haven't made up my mind about them; sometimes I think they are a little too plain, but at other times I like their simplicity. I think I will hang them up and see what I think after I look at them for a few days.
The next thing I made was some thread art. You can find the tutorial here. I knew I wanted Will's name to be in the room, but I wanted to do something a little different than painted block letters. Although I love painted block letters, I wanted to do something a little more unique and modern.
I can't wait for the nursery to be complete and to see how it all works together.
